K 24 Optimal cable drum handler with Flexigrip

The Multigrab > Excavator applications
The K 24 Optimal shown on this page is suitable for carriers of 12 tons and up. It's optimal size makes it the ideal choice for most users as it will handle the very most of the cable drums and conduit reel sizes we use in our daily work.
Also check out the smaller K 18 Mini model and the bigger K 30 Jumbo model. For general info on the Multigrab see the General info page and don't miss the intro video for this concept.
It can handle cable drums and conduit reels of the following sizes K 6 to K 24 and everything inbetween. The K# refers to the Swedish standard for cable drum dimensions SS 84 28 01.
Conduit reels
The Multigrab can handle conduit reels without co-workers involved. It saves time and labour and no dangerous situations occur.
The operator can spool of cable or conduits directly into the trench without any help from coworkers. That makes the Multigrab a big labour saver.
The Multigrab will auto adapt to all reels within it's range, that statement also apply to the center hole. There is no need for any assisting coworker when picking up a new reel.
This way the operator can lay cables and conduits into the trench in a safe and efficient manner, no additional hands requiered.
It's a lot cheaper than the traditional way to do this and without any danger of personal injuries.

It's also a winch that can be used for cable pulling. The following pictures shows a reinforced model
Conduite cable pulling
Grab the optional winch drum to pull cables through conduits. This solution substitutes a $100 000 trailer winch.
Conduite cable pulling
When digging cable trenches the excavator is already on site, why bother renting an expensive cable pulling trailer when you can do it a lot cheaper with the Multigrab?
Turn the compression rails inwards and use it as a grapple for other items.

There are a lot of optional accessories to the Multigrab K 24 Optimal model. All of these accessories are driven by the hydraulic rotor disc system on the Multigrab itself. That means no hydraulic components are needed on these optional units, they are all very simple to manufacture compared to similar existing equipment on the market today. All of these accessories will also fit to the bigger model K 30 Jumbo and some of them will fit to the smaller model K 18 Mini.
In addition to handle cable drums and conduit reels in a safe and labour saving manner, the Multigrab can also operate other time and labour saving tools, such as different sized sweepers, a winch, a vacuum digging unit, a compactor and more.

A big advantage:
Common for all of these extra tools is that they don't need their own hydraulic systems since they are purely driven by the hydraulic rotor disc on the Multigrab. There is no need for a quick hitch for each unit. And especially those preferring quick hitches with an oilquick solutions or the like will save big. That makes it a superior multitool with a lot of extra functions for a fraction of the costs compared to buying all of these different tools with their own hydraulic systems separately. This solution gives your customer a possibilty to invest in a complete labour saving cable trenching package to a very attractive cost and hence gain a competitive advantage.

With this solution, your customer can start with just the basic Multigrab and then expand as needed. Your customer buys only the tools he needs, neither more nor less.
